Tuesday, 4 February: Deepening discussion on SOCIAL MEDIA: do we need so many?

We had a great discussion on social media last Tuesday – everybody explained their preferences – as we all use social networks now, and we decided to continue, as the choice is plentiful: Facebook, Instagram, X (former Twitter), Telegram, TikTok, LinkedIn – and their number is growing. Thanks to a new participant, we all discovered Reddit, it was curious! Is YouTube also a network, or just a service? How many more do you know, and which ones do you use? For which purpose?

Join us next Tuesday, 4 February, to discuss:

How often do you use social media and for which purpose?
On which social media sites are people most spontaneous? Or, most serious and pragmatic?

How much does age matter in choosing social media sites?
Phenomenon of TikTok. Are you – or your kids – on TikTok? Why did it become so popular?

In your opinion, should the content on TikTok be moderated and censored? In what way?

In general, would you ever stop using social media because of surveilance issues?
How would you feel if your country banned any social media sites? And what if all of them?
